I am a psychopath with narcissistic traits. What I would like to do is introduce some information that you might not be aware of.

Alexithymia is what creates the basic molds of NPD. This is a language and emotional processing disorder. The way that alexithymia works [edited by QuietMagic] is that they have paranoid personality disorder. This makes your language read into too much. You can and often do respond with passive aggressive or sarcastic language.

This is where alexithymia is making your narcissism shift into another position.

The narcissism takes a toll on your language and how you are processing having no emotions towards you being show so you relay that same information back as a defense mechanism!!

I hope this helps you guys out. I am writer on quora for these disorders.

@katherine383

Thanks for sharing this. 💜 If I’m understanding, you’re saying that one of the contributing factors for NPD can be interpreting other people’s words in a way that might not match what they feel/mean. And then that can lead to feeling scared or angry, responding based on that feeling, and experiencing escalating conflict.

(Just want to note that not everybody with NPD will necessarily have the same experiences or behave the same way.)
