Personality Disorders and Social media

I have noticed more and more a growing trend of people on a specific piece of Social Media that chronicle their situations involving Personality Disorders.

I've had a few talks with my therapist about the situation and she seems to think that it's both good and bad. Good due to the fact that Personality Disorders are getting a more Mainstream Approach. But bad because there will always be a few people in the bunch that aren't honest.

I've had thoughts about using this platform to video journal my own struggles, advice, etc. But I can't ever seem to bring myself to do it because the last thing I want to do is be part of a movement that will get me wrapped up in the issues that those negative people bring.

What are your thoughts on the ideas of representation of Personality Disorders on Social Media? Is Social Media something that you have used to help in your Mental Health Journey? Did it truly help?
