Trial

amyd66 May 9th, 2023

My fiancee is right now at the trial against her abuser. She was abused last year. She's so nervous and I'm so nervous too.

I'm just scared I'm not gonna be able to just help her the way I should. I don't wanna have any bpd episode cause I wanna help her. I'm so *** scared too.

Trials are definitely very scary. The important thing to remember is that the judges and lawyers and jury all have to do the morally correct thing, so it'll all get sorted out. Try to breathe.

@enbyNova I mean, that's definitely not true xD as long as the abuser says he's sorry his penalty will be much lower. Justice doesn't really exist, we just have to search for the statistics and see how victims have been treated.

Thank you tho. She's having an appointment with a therapist now

@amyd66

In my experience, it depends on the judge but yea for some reason being "sorry" even if you feel no remorse means lesser penalties.

That's good. Are you in therapy?
