My boyfriend assaulted me a couple weeks ago. I now have a head injury. I'm still living with him and need useful ways of relaxing and coping with symptoms like anger, self harm, depression, anxiety, and dysphoria. Please... I don't make enough funds to leave so any advice is appreciated, preferably from people who have the disorder.

Wow - I'm so sorry! Everyone deserves to be treated warmly; with love and respect. If you ever feel that you are in danger, please don't hesitate you call emergency services. Your safety matters to us, and I hope it matters to you. BPD is so hard to deal with because of the emotional overload, like you mentioned a bit about in your list. It's hard to keep yourself calm at times. When you're feeling overloaded, crisis survival skills may be of some help! They're part of the distress tolerance branch in the dialectical behavior therapy course. If you choose to give them a try, let me know how they work for you. These skills all take a LOT of practice - don't beat yourself up if something doesn't work the first few times. smiley

@RancidHead

You don't anyone you can trust? Like family, friends? or even a shelter. All of these don't need money

I've been in your shoes and can't imagine living with him after.

I'm truly sorry for what you're going through my heart goes to you. You're such a strong person asking for help and talking about it.

Sending you lots of love
