I am 34 and have always thought it was just me shutting down, I have been with my partner for 18 years and she has always been understanding about me not knowing how to communicate. I mean yeah it gets tough for her I am sure but she has become my safe place.

@Deconstruct I'm glad to hear that. Shutting down sure is hard, both about your emotions and others not understanding why. Hope you are doing well.

I am not doing to bad, had a moment yesterday but like everything flare up are expected... I think. It has become such a way a life that I never really thought there was anything wrong.
