Feeling Good Today

I woke up this morning, and for the first time in...maybe ever...I felt like I was doing a good job at parenting. There was no track playing that I should have already done this or that. Or that whatever I had done wasn't enough. It was just great to be in the moment and not in my head. My kids, thankfully, have all their needs met, and my partner and I make sure that they know that they're loved. Sometimes, it's hard for me to remember that that's the most important. But today... I knew it, and it felt good.
