1st time mom & morning sickness

Nat20dicegoblin July 15th, 2023

Hey, I only recently found out I am pregnant (I haven't even had my 1st appointment, but it's in 1½ weeks) but in the meantime I just have to be honest, how do I manage morning nausea? I've been lucky enough not to have lost my cookies yet, but I've been cutting it REALLY close lately. I'm not typically someone who gets sick very often, and I know that at some point it's bound to happen, but how do I manage things better so I don't nearly "yart" (as my honey so aptly puts it) when I go to work? I'm doing my best, but I have no idea what I'm doing 😅 any advice helps.

Make sure you’re always munching on something! I would nibble on salted crackers all day and would even wake up at night to have a few nibbles so I wouldn’t wake up hungry. The second my stomach felt hungry or thirsty the nausea would hit hard. But if I had food. Even if it was nibbles I was good! It should ease up by 12-14 weeks!

I used preggie pop drops and they work great! You can find them on Amazon really easily. Also lemon heads help really well. Otherwise really bland foods like kinda salty crackers help. Make sure you eat within the first hour of being up it’ll help you get through the sickness and rest of your day with minimal sickness issues. I’m 8 months pregnant (32 and a half weeks) and still dealing with morning sickness but mine didn’t start till the second trimester. It’s different for everyone. Hope some of it helps!
