Wellness Accountability Challenge: FAQ
Thanks to everyone who has taken the Accountability Wellness Challenge! I know many of you are currently working through it, and I for one am very proud of you.
I’ve collected some frequently asked questions about this initiative, and here they are!
Can I take this challenge more than once?
This campaign can also be known as the 30-Days-and-Onward Challenge because it can extend as long as you want. This is a daily program, so there is no limit to participation! In fact, I encourage you to consistently do it every month. Whether it’s continuing your current goal you haven’t met, maintaining your self-care ritual goals, or setting brand new goals, your journey is whatever you make of it. This challenge is for you to stay accountable to the most important person in your life: you. Take part as long as you need it! Note that I do not make new monthly posts at this time so as not to pressure folks to stick within the month but will consider adding monthly tracking if requested. Until then, we use one unified post for sharing your daily progress.
I missed x days. What do I do?
Keep going! If you fall off, just get right back up. 30 days doesn’t have to be consecutive. Simply tack on the new days, or if you’d like to do a clean slate, start over fresh on day 1. It’s up to you!
There’s no shame in missing days for any reason at all. No matter how many times you fall, remember that it’s totally normal and happens to all of us, and your fellow accountability buddies will always grab your hand and help you back up.
Can I do this challenge without having to fill out the form for the badge? If you want to take part in the challenge on your own, feel free! You don’t have to complete the form, but note that you won’t receive the badge. But if that isn’t a priority to you, I encourage you to still participate! Your activity counts and we want to celebrate your wins in the forum space just the same as everyone else!
In simple terms, how do I do this challenge?
1. Set a goal for yourself, and then pick 3 tasks you want to do to meet this goal
2. Open a document or spreadsheet (or something tangible if you prefer) and write down your progress on your 3 goals each day. Don't forget to mark the date!
3. Share that progress in this forum post every day to hold yourself accountable. - It’s proven that people will be more motivated in a group setting and when others are engaging with them, so if you have time, please respond to others in the post to give them a boost.
4. If you want the badge, complete this form after you have successfully finished 30 days.
5. If you want to do it again, share your new goals/tasks in the forum and keep on truckin'!
I keep forgetting to do it!
Fear not! If you opt-in to this form, I will tag you with weekly reminders!
How many badges can I earn?
For now, you’ll only earn one for the first 30 days to show you participated. We’ll consider milestone badges if this initiative becomes popular!
