It's important that you develop effective strategies for managing your time to balance the conflicting demands of time for [things such as] study, leisure, earning money and job hunting. ...
Sometimes it may seem that there isn't enough time to do everything that you need to. This can lead to a build-up of stress. ... Once we have identified ways in which we can improve the management of our time, we can begin to adjust our routines and patterns of behaviour to reduce any time-related stress in our lives.. Stuck on what kind of goals could go with this theme? Here are some goal ideas:
→ to practise SMART goal setting (Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Realistic, and Time-Sensitive goals).
→ to stop responding to messages (texts, emails, etc) after 10pm.
→ to reduce the amount of times I am late for things.
→ to dedicate one hour of each day to doing something nice for myself.
→ to try to regulate my sleeping pattern.
→ to wake up earlier.
→ to set a time to book an appointment.
My goal: to increase my energy levels in order to be able to make more time for things
Reason: Being ill last week has made me lethargic and thus not particularly motivated to do things I'd otherwise enjoy - e.g., my fitness. I'm still ill, but recovering. So I have been spending a lot of my time lying down and watching things (which I love, but I'd also like to be more active).
Plan: to go to one fitness class this week, do more towards special events on 7 Cups and seek pleasure within every step ahead I take. I'd also like to make sure I'm still drinking and eating enough, as well as taking plenty of breaks when I need to.
Day 1 - 5: to increase my energy levels in order to be able to make more time for things
I'm still ill, and - whilst I was feeling better - I had another wave of issues. I really wanted to go to my fitness class today (Friday), but it'd be ridiculous. I know that it'd be too much for me! Therefore, I decided to postpone that.
However! On the plus side, I have been doing more towards events. It takes me a lot longer to do things (due to taking breaks between every little thing I do), but it's good for keeping me occupied.
Organised activities for Wonderful Weirdos Day and Suicide Prevention Day, kept up with my Migraine Awareness Week posts too. Right now I'm working on preparation for World Dream Day, which I am looking forward to, as well as others - including Face Your Fears week (in October). + Keeping in contact with those working on other events, which is exciting as many are doing so for the first time. So, stay tuned for more special events to come! I've definitely enjoyed that.
It's been hard to avoid napping all of the time though, because I really feel like doing that! Nonetheless, I've been going to bed around the same time and waking up in the morning, then staying up until bedtime. Phew. (Keeping a sleeping routine is important for me for health reasons). I have also been keeping on top of eating and drinking well. Slipped yesterday due to anxieties, but doing my best.
Tomorrow, I plan to take a walk to the shops. I hope it'll energise me, and place me on the track to becoming a lot more active next week.
But - all in all, it's still been a more productive week. So I think I have been using this time well. I was staying at my friend's whilst I was particularly unwell too, and that was very nice. Their company and going to the shops for me made it easier than if I were alone!
Looking forward to when all this rest pays off and I bounce back as quickly as possible!
@QuickJazz, I'm amazed how much work you do - and you say you are still feeling ill when you are acting as an unstoppable machinery of productivity! Sir, you are ridiculous and I don't believe you ^^;
I'm glad to hear you fell a bit better. I'm sorry I couldn't participate in this week's project, but I look forward to the next themes. Even if I don't feel quite up to, I still want to make an effort.
I think taking a break from your fitness classes isn't a bad move on your part. You are still preoccupied with your health, and I guess lots of other things, it's good that you slowed down a bit. Next week is as good as any to get back on track.
I cannot wait for all of these new exciting events! You are doing an amazing work.
Best wishes!
Haha! My Internet activity became 70% streaming websites over the past two weeks. I've been watching things mostly and relaxing, as - physically - I have not been active at all. In bed the whole time. I almost worried that I may wake up one day to find that my muscle is gone! But on the laptop, I have indeed been able to get quite a bit done - here and there - fortunately!
Thank you very much, glad to be getting better too. I believe my illness has now left me (yay!), but my chronic pain is acting up still. Hopefully it dies down again soon though! Either way, I'm in good spirits. So it's ultimately all good!
& No worries!! Thank you very much for wishing to take part. You are free to set your own goals too, regardless of the theme. Can do as much or as little as you please too. After all, it's all about what suits you. Happy to support you either way! @Celaeno
Yes~ I too am very excited about all upcoming events. They'll be great
Will be posting about next week's theme tomorrow!
