Coping skills for low self-esteem
"For me, building self-esteem was learning what self-esteem was in the first place. It was unlearning what I had learned about myself . I went back to self-school and learned all about me."
Hello Community!I do hope each of you are as best as you can be. Today we are going to talk on Coping skills on Self Esteem Toolbox. Yep a toolbox as we all need that very special box filled with all the things that will help us with empowering our self esteem.
First what is self esteem? Self-esteem is how we value and perceive ourselves. It's based on our opinions and beliefs about ourselves, which can sometimes feel really difficult to change.
Self Esteem can affect many things like: value yourself as a person, able to make decisions and assert yourself, recognise your strengths and positives, feel able to try new or difficult things, show kindness towards yourself, move past mistakes without blaming yourself unfairly, take the time you need for yourself, believe you matter and, are good enough, believe you deserve happiness.
Self Esteem can affect so many important things in our lives. We need our Toolbox handy. What is this toolbox thing ? This can be a bag of things, a simple sheet of paper with positive things to coach yourself with, a favorite snack. This toolbox can hold anything you like to help you. It is something so handy that when you are feeling low- you can reach out to something soothing or some simple skills.
Discussion:
1. How do you desribe what Self-Esteem is?
2. What kinds of things do you have in your "toolbox" to help yourself?
3. Is there any positive affirmations that you tell yourself?

Having confidence and believing in yourself
Music and a list of affirmations that someone put together for me
I haven't failed - I just found 10,000 ways that don't work
self esteem is valuing yourself and your good sides and accepting your bad ones too.
in my toolbox, i do things that are necessary ( i exercise self control to do them but i do get carried away by too much self control many times) , i think that improves my self esteem and keep me on track. (besides but i think i should not be too self controlling)
i give myself affirmations like everybody do sometimes mistakes that you do and its okay and you can improve or there are so many things behind for what you have or have not done that u needed to do.

1. How do you desribe what Self-Esteem is?
Self-esteem is the epitomy of what lies beneath our souls and drives us to seek out life adventures, people, places and things in a healthy and positive way. It is the beacon of hope within us when we have it that holds our hand and walks us through situations without worrying so much what others think.
2. What kinds of things do you have in your "toolbox" to help yourself?
I have a chat room that I DJ in online amongst other people that I have open to interract with people instead of feelingn so alone all the time as I don't know a single person where I live now. It's my go-to place for human interraction in real time. The place can be motivating to help others as well which is what makes me feel the best.
3. Is there any positive affirmations that you tell yourself?
God doesn't ever put too much on us that we cannot handle.

1. For me self esteem is self confidence, self trust and self respect.
2. I don't have any tools in my tool box, but thanks to this exercise I'll definitely make sure I gather some.
3. I sometimes tell myself that I'll always be there for myself and take care of me. It helps.
@plumBeechwood7549
Plum good to see you and sharing with us todaySelf confidence, self trust and self respect is a good meaning for self esteem. I know it is not easy to place in some healthy positive things to help us, but.........I do hope after doing this and reading others sharing you might get some good ideas on what might help you. This is a very good and short reminder to boost yourself: I'll always be there for myself and take care of me
1 The awareness of the positive things about you, and the ability to use this awareness to be kind towards yourself and become a positive force in the world.
2 My passions (books, music...) and the kind and supportive words of my friends and family.
3 - You're not perfect, but that was never the goal
- Even if you don't do anything extraordinary, you can always do something good
- Lots of the people you admire at some point have felt as insecure as you. If they made it, who says you can't?
1. How do you desribe what Self-Esteem is?
How you see yourself subjectively and related to self-respect.
2. What kinds of things do you have in your "toolbox" to help yourself?
Lots of tea, ways of contacting friends and good books to relax to.
3. Are there any positive affirmations that you tell yourself?
You are human. It's okay to allow yourself to be human. It's alright to make mistakes and let yourself feel emotions.
