Asking the right questions

thehealingpath9 March 25th, 2022

Is it true that suffering is ultimately inevitable? If so, should we stop trying to avoid suffering, and ask instead what is really worth suffering for? Is it possible to figure out something that we’re going to gladly sacrifice for? Something that while on the process of achieving it makes us sustainably and organically grow. To the point that the external validation of reaching our goals is not as much as the intrinsic value derived from the quest itself. Values such as agency, or community or maybe meaning. And what do these words really represent? Is agency the feeing of control over our life? Or is it the quality of those who take full ownership of their choices? Is community the feeling of belonging, or the commitment to support those we care about? Is meaning a general sense of purpose in life, or the mindful connection to direct experience agains which we can constantly check and adjust our model of reality?
