Bi at 43?

Hi there,

I really need to get this off my chest. I'm a happily married man. Two years ago I participated in a plant medicine ceremony after which I sort of got a crush on another guy who also participated in the ceremony. That was really confusing as I had always consider myself to be straight. However, I feel that as I connect stronger to myself my sexual orientation becomes more fluid. Because my attraction to women is always there and my attraction to men sometimes completely disappears I'm confused. Could it be that I turned out to be bi only at the age of 43 or am fooling myself into believing i'm something I'm not.

Being bi is incredibly confusing, everyone’s experience is different, some people realize later in life that they are bi and it’s normal. I would talk to your wife about it, it’s important to be transparent (only if you are comfortable), but remember if it si your wife you probably should be comfortable at some point to discuss this. Take your time tho, no rush

Dear @littleYard3001,

I'm 44 this year... and 6 months ago... wait, that also meant I was still 43 at that time... I met someone who triggered a panic in me. I was also attracted to a guy... I have had boyfriends before I got married, my wife knew what she was getting in. I've had 15 years of happy life together with her and we have 2 wonderful kids.

So... nothing happened with me and the guy, but it created a panic... was I cheating on her just having that thought?

I hope you are doing well now... we should talk more!
