We don't celebrate it traditionally here, but I'm all for festivals and holidays, and food ofcourse lol, soooo a comforting pasta bowl, pizza, a brownie dish or chocolate cake (or both, cause why not hehe), hot chocolateee (for after-meal beverage), sounds absolutely gold to me!🥰
How about you?
Hi LDP Squad! 👋✨
Thanksgiving is such a warm and cozy time, and food is definitely one of the best parts! My favorite holiday meal is a classic sweet potato casserole. It’s the perfect mix of sweet and savory and always feels like a hug in food form. 🍠💛
Here’s a super easy recipe I love:
Sweet Potato Casserole
Ingredients:
- 4 cups mashed sweet potatoes (roast them for extra flavor!)
- 1/2 cup sugar (or brown sugar for a richer taste)
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup milk
- Topping:
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup flour
- 1/3 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup chopped pecans
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix sweet potatoes, sugar, butter, eggs, vanilla, and milk in a bowl. Spread into a greased baking dish.
- For the topping, combine brown sugar, flour, butter, and pecans until crumbly. Sprinkle over sweet potatoes.
- Bake for 30 minutes or until the topping is golden and bubbly.
