Supportive Thoughts, Quotes, and Paragraphs.

ComfyWithEzzy March 29th

Hey there!
I have been looking for a space to write down my random thoughts throughout the day. These thoughts can range from one sentence to whole paragraphs or essays.
In this thread, you can expect entries about all sorts of supportive reminders for myself and others. This can consist of something as simple as a motivational quote to essays on various topics to provide reminders and support.

I may also post some uplifting photography with entries, as (for me at least) it can provide a sense of calm.

Some entries may consist of the "hard truth," which will be TW tagged. I find that sometimes having the straight truth about something can be beneficial and more helpful. Though, sometimes it's not something people wish to hear, so I won't let someone be caught off-guard by a potentially triggering topic or sentence/paragraph.

3/29/2024 | Words can hurt, but only you can make sure it doesn't wound you.

- Ezra (@ComfyWithEzzy)

People will always try to bring you down. It may not be everyone, but there is a good portion that will.

You will feel hurt. Words can be the most fatal form of attack. You may not feel directly/instantly hurt, but regardless, your brain will recognize these words as harmful.

You do not have to believe these words. Most of the time, people will make fun of the best aspects of you. Just because someone says something you like is bad, doesn't mean it truly is bad. I knew someone who got made fun of for being a volunteer firefighter because they didn't get paid and were told they "weren't a real firefighter." That same person went on to save hundreds of lives as a volunteer.

Even if you aren't doing something significant or extravagant, it is still important! Many people believe that because they aren't saving lives or changing the world, what they do doesn't matter. That is very incorrect. We all serve a purpose in this world, and everything we do shapes the future. If its  something that only makes you happy, its still changing how you feel! Feeling happier can lead to more productivity and attentiveness.

Emotions are like a plague; They spread to everyone you interact with. "Researchers call this phenomenon emotional contagion (EC), in which one person's emotions transfer to another. It involves all types of emotions, from angry, sad and fearful to happy, enthusiastic and joyful." [1] People affect people. If you are angry and project it onto someone else, they may feel frustrated, angry, or confused. Vice-versa, if they are angry at you, you may feel the same. Neither one knows exactly what is going on in each others lives or heads. This is why it is important to "Treat others how you want to be treated."

That's all I have to say for today. Spread love, joy, and kindness, and remember to smile!
