Night-terrors (CW)

GnomedBinary February 27th

I've been dealing with night-terrors since I was a child, they're always so vivid and because of psychosis - I will sometimes remember them in great detail.
These night-terrors are often graphic, often following a single theme - death.. my death.

The night-terrors are part of the reason why I never got over my fear of the dark, I can't sleep without being able to see a light source - either it be the moonlight, porch light or hallway light.
And because of these night terrors, I've become insomnic - some nights I won't sleep at all, not because I'm not tired but because I'm too scared.

I know I should probably seek professional help, though I think it'd be awkward telling my doc "Hey, I've dealing with chronic night terrors every night - and I'm not able to sleep without dream catchers." - because I already have sleep apnea, which can also be a contributing factor...

@GnomedBinary Hey, I am so sorry to hear this. I dont know if this will make you feel better but I struggled with this a couple of years ago. Remember the Momo trend? That monster haunted me whenever i  went to sleep and I had to sleep with the lights on. Just know that you are not alone. Talking to your doctor about this is an important step toward getting the help and support you deserve. They can provide you with guidance on how to manage your night terrors and improve your sleep.
