I'm struggling with my friend group & I need some peer advice!

Hi everyone!

I'm a new member on 7 Cups & I've been struggling a lot in school with friendships. My class is very small and I have a few friends. The friend group I'm in now is great, I've been friends with them since last year, but most of them were friends before I joined. This always made me feel separate but I didn't mind. But now, with 3 months left, I feel like my interests have changed somewhat and I don't fit in. There's also another girl who I feel like is taking my place in the group or that my friends like her more. I told them that I was struggling with my place in the group and they told me to take my time & that they love me. I don't really know what to do though. What do you do when you don't connect with your friends anymore, but still want to be friends?

Open to any replies & advice, thank you all!

@BiaVal101 I'm sorry to hear you feel this way, but I completely understand and get where you're coming from. Sometimes the people you know are only supposed to be in your life for a certain amount of time, and that's perfectly okay. Other times, it just takes a bit of introspection and thinking to realize what it is you need to do. You're welcome to message me if you need, but also consider branching out a bit and meeting new people. There's a chance you're feeling isolated to one group and don't know it. You've talked to your friends about your feelings, right? That's always the first step, the next is just deciding how you want to proceed.
