I can't stand ramblers.

One of my major pet peeves is people who ramble. I deal with it mostly at home but do encounter this in other places, & it absolutely pisses me off.

My roommate is incapable of speaking unless it is for a bare minimum of 20 minutes. From what I've seen over the last 2 years, I'm the only person in his life who doesn't tolerate that crap. The moment a single word comes out of his mouth, it doesn't matter where he is, who he's talking to, or what the subject matter is. He can't even say hello to strangers without talking them to death in the process. To the rambler, all I have to say is: your right so speak does not override my right to keep silent. Just because you want to talk for hours on end, it doesn't mean that I am required to sit there & listen to it. Period.
