Top Tips For Caring For Our Pets
We all love our little fluffy, scaley, or just plain adorable creatures that we call Pets.
But there's always that question for new pet owners of how to actually take care of them in an effective and efficient way.
So. I want to hear from all those Pet Owners! What do you think are your best tips for taking care of them?
Examples of this can be as simple as: Show them attention, make sure to feed them every day, etc etc. Throw in your own twist! I want to hear what you guys do to care for your pets!!!!
Hmm I don't think I have any special or unique tips, but here's some ways I like to take care of my pets
-regular brushing! both of my dogs have double coats, which they're 'supposed' to fully shed twice a year, but really they are just constantly shedding. So brushing them helps them not be so itchy or hot (plus one of my dogs, Momo, just loves being brushed, as soon as I take the brush out he's on my lap )
-find the right toy for them (and don't give up!). My other dog Kalle is a rescue and when we got her, she wouldn't play with anything. She didn't play fetch, she didn't like stuffed toys, or balls, or rubber toys, nothing. Then one day out of nowhere she found a dragon beanie baby and she just loves it! It's so weird, she doesn't even like any other beanie baby, that's the one toy she likes and boy does she love playing with it
-spend time with them not really doing anything. A lot of the time I thought spending time with my pets meant playing with them, but sometimes it's just laying next to them, gently petting them, talking normally to them...it's just nice to sort of be mindful of them, the fact that another living creature is so close and important to you
-for typically indoor pets, some (supervised) outside time can be pretty fun! I used to take my cats in my backyard and they loved walking around in the grass, chasing butterflies...even my bearded dragon had a lot of fun walking around outside. Obviously not all pets would be suited for this though
What I have learned from YouTube videos about rabbit care:
Never give your bunny a full body bath. Their coats can hold water and may suffer from hypothermia. It can also put them into shock and even a heart attack. Give the bunny a butt bath if cannot clean their butt area.
Never give your bunny an only pellets diet. Their diet should be mostly hay, some greens, and a portion of pellets. Pellets make your bunny gain weight fast.
Your bunny should never be in a cage. The wiring below their feet hurts their feet. Have your bunny free roam in the home or put them in the x-pen (exercise pen). Make a cardboard box into a resting area in the x-pen.
Your rabbit can drink fine from the water bowl, just like dogs but there is no right or wrong between a rabbit water bottle or the water bowl. Some people don't want to change the water bowl many times after hay, fur, dead bugs, urine, etc got into the water bowl. Some have a problem with their rabbit making a mess with the water. The water in the bowl evaporates quicker and had to be given clean water more often.
I'm done sharing. Don't rely on my information 100%, it has been remembered from memory and you should fact-check it before agreeing.
Give them activities...as tgey give you time, you should give them time...they are not farm animals to feed them, vaccinate them and be done, they need activities and game and a fun life...there are IQ tests for dogs online if you want to test your puppy or dog, I tested my last woof and he was amazing...many people say mature cats never play, they don't play because you do not play with them, that is all...
Caring for pets is really a tough job. Here are some most important points to be taken care of for caring the pets:
1. Proper Vaccination
2. Proper diet
3. Vet visits
4. Affection at home
5. Training and socializing
6. Follow dog park rules
7. Safe playtime
I especially thank the Pet Pharmacy which helped me a lot in my dog care.
