Homemade Bread (Using a bread maker)

Thyselfbetrue March 9th, 2019

I'm sure sure you can use it with a mixer or manually.. I just used the bread maker that was given to us and I tried it twice, this loaf came out a lot nicer.. And oh my gosh, beats store bought by so much! :) Was so happy to come across this recipe and try it out, it's so simple and all you have to do is throw it in the pale and the machine mixes, turns it, kneads it, lets it rise and bakes it!!

https://imgur.com/a/1MHaaav - The loaf I made today. It took roughly 2-3 hours to let it cool and what not.. Mmm. Nothing better than something that is easy, fresh and homemade. :)

Recipe:

2 1/2 cups bread flour (You can substitute gluten-free flour of your choice or use all purpose flour as well)

1 cup luke warm water

1 package active dry yeast

1 tsp salt

2 tbsp sugar

2 tbsp honey (can add raisins if you wish)

2 tbsp shortening or butter

Yields: 1.5 pound loaf

And voila. The hardest part now is waiting. :D

I agree the hardest part is waiting for home made bread.

I like homemade bread, it is very delicious. But I'm trying to lose weight and I worry whether it can make me fat.

@BesYar Bread doesn't make you fat, excess calorie intake does. If you worry, it is better to choose white bread as it has low nutritional value. But bread can make you eat more than you should, so eat it in moderation. If you still have doubts, I suggest reading this article https://betterme.world/articles/does-bread-make-you-fat/ I hope you will find it useful.
