Favorite Comfort Food Spot?
There's this Ramen Shop that's a few blocks away from my house. Its called Ryujin. They make the best bowl of Shoyu Ramen ever. Savory, filling. Its one of my favorite comfort food.
The best thing is that its not terribly expensive. I pay about 8 bucks for a bowl . Whenever I'm feeling down... I go there to warm up my belly.
What about you? When you're feeling down, is there a favorite food spot you like to visit?
That sounds yummy! I like to get an old fashioned sub sandwich from subway when I'm feeling low.
@writecolorread : EAT FRESH! lol. Thats a good one. I dont get to go to ryujin everyday.. but my second choice is taco bell. lol
For me comfort food is the food at my parents' place - my childhood home where I grew up. We had fresh vegetables everyday cooked just an hour before meals. So yumm and fresh!
I live very far from there now, but when I feel low I think about it and feel better :)

Having childhood memories like that always makes me feel warm and fuzzy!
I'm a vegan, so my favorite comfort food is either vegan pizza or vegan sushi! Many sushi places have roll options without any fish, and both Dominos and Pizza Hut have vegan pizza options (for any vegans wondering) :)
@gracefulAngel96 : I didnt know that those pizza chains had vegan options. I should let my friend know about it. He's vegan too. And thats cool you have comfort options that fit your eating choices. <3
Chocolate, fries, pizza, anything that's not so healthy lol

@buttersnaps : Yes to all of these. lol . I love a good order of chili cheese fries.
Comfort food isn't served in a restaurant, to me it's anything my mom makes, usually caldo de res (beef soup) or enchiladas are always my favorite.
@Jasmine9223 : Comfort food is what you make it, my friend. Everyone's comfort food varies. :) i'm glad you have some thats your mom's cooking.
my family didnt cook as often as I like. Sure, mom and grammy made some good food... but I would consider their favorites from them as celebration food more than comfort food. My momma knew how to make this bomb peach cobbler for thanksgiving [and my birthday, lol ] and grammy made some good tacos.
Chipotle!! I'm obsessed, I could eat there every day!

There is absolutely nothing better than a Chipotle burrito bowl with chicken, white rice, black beans, mild salsa (because I'm a wimp), cheese, sour cream, and guac. Oh, and a bag of their chips :p
For me it's home made cookies. My boyfriend makes phenomenal ones but when I don't have time to bake there's this cookie place for charity near me and that's always a fun place to run by for some smiles

My uncle's house, he makes incredible Greek food with a TON of browned butter (if you've never had browned butter, you're missing out) and it reminds me of home.

If there isn't one of those around though, probably noodles or chipotle. I'm vegan so I love fast food places that have vegan choices :)
