A sweet problem
Hi,
I've decided to stop eating sweets. I'm not happy with my body and I want to eat healthy and I feel that not eating sweets would help a lot. I've tried to reduce my intake of sweets in the past and allowed myself to have a taste every once in a while but they're like a drug to me and eventually I always end up eating too much again. Especially when I'm feeling down about something.
So I believe my only chance is to give them up completely. Which is why I'm writing this thread, in hopes of getting advice from someone who's waging the same war within themselves or had been in the past. How did you manage to succeed in giving up candy and snacks?
Thanks a lot for your answers.

My best advice is to not have them handy ........ if you live with others who have them ask them to place them out of sight etc. Another way i use to control overdoing anything are food tracking apps there are several that really tell you how many calories you may be consuming....
When you are honest about serving sizes etc and you see for example just as few as 2 cookies can add up to as much as a basic meal you see it really is not worth it. reading labels also can help if you see a snack would take you an hour of exercise to even start to use up ask yourself is this tiny taste worth that to me?
