I just want to be pretty.

"If you lose some weight you can be pretty," she told me.

Yup, someone actually told me that. I have never been happy with the way I look, especially when it comes to me weight. This summer I decided to eat clean and work out, but I had so much to do and had so much delicious food that I never actually lost the amount I intended to and I look exactly the same. Summer is almost over now. I wasted two months and I feel like such a failure.

@PaleButterfly

That seems a rather inconsiderate way of talking about it, I mean the author of that quote.

I have my own demons that I've failed to exercise, and later had to tell myself "summer is almost over and you haven't even started to solve the probem!" Yup, summer for me aswell, something special about that time of year. Anyway, your post makes me think even more that there is something wrong with our approach.

Hopeuflly we can both figure it out.

Sorry I can't help more, just thought I'd let you know

@PaleButterfly

You are not a failure. I joined the gym in December with all the right intentions to lose weight for summer. I lost over 12 lbs in a decent amount of time. Right now, I am very sure all 12 of those damn lbs came back. I am thankful for the delicious food I love to eat. I am a pizza loving fool. With a glass of wine. You can't pull me away over a zoom chat with girl friends. Don't let their words rent space in your head. You are beautiful. Leave a note on every mirror and reapet everytime you walk past it. This summer be your own beautufil self and enjoy the sunshine no matter what.
