Question about feature request for mods
is it in the works, has it been tried or was their a problem with this idea in the past.
Will mod ever have the ability to PM member/Guests from a chatroom?
Sure could be handy, lessen warnings needed and allows mods to address possible triggering conversations from carrying on in the chat rooms.
Thoughts?
@Conall Ó Branagáin - I am not positive, but I believe this idea has come up before. There are definitely some big benefits from being able to do that, but there is also always a risk. This site is built in a way to protect our members as best as possible, and part of that is not allowing listeners to reach out to them unless the member PMs first. Not sure what the right answer is here, but I believe that's the current justification.
