Happiness Week Day 6 - Happiness and Pets
hi, everyone ! how are you all doing ? what did you do today, and have you taken care of yourselves ? today, march 26, is the sixth day of our happiness week event ! wow, that went by fast !
today, we will be discussing the correlation between animals and well-being :) or, you can also call that the title of today's event : "happiness and pets" !
animals can play such a big role in our lives ! we can create special bonds and connections with them that we may not be able to create with others <3 many of them can also highly sense emotions, so they can just tell when something is wrong without you having to do anything
while not all pets react the same towards emotions, petting them and just being near them can also be very therapeutic ! it can reduce anxiety levels as it is such a soothing activity. and i'm sure they'd appreciate the massages as well haha
as something a little different for today's event, i'd love to share a short note including my own experiences on my animals helping me with my well-being ! :
i absolutely adore animals <3 i have created connections and bonds with my animals (the rabbit and dog i have right now, especially) that i have only ever been able to create with one other person. when i just need a break from socializing or from the stress of everyday life, they give me that break
my dog will look me in the eyes when something is wrong and he'll stare at me in a way nobody else has before (it'll bring me to tears in seconds haha) he'll give me lots of kisses and cuddles !
as for my rabbit, i adopted him from a shelter after one of the most difficult weeks of my life <3 i held him whenever i felt like i didn't have anyone else, and he instantly became my everything :) he'll also give me lots of kisses and stay close to me when i'm not feeling too well ! it's absolutely amazing how animals can sense your emotions without you having to make an effort to show them
and how about you ? do you have your own stories about your animals helping you ? what have they done for you, and how much do they mean to you ? :) we'd love to hear from you ! <3
i hope you all have a lovely week ahead ! again, remember that you deserve so much happiness !

@rrretsuko Your pets sound absolutely so cute and awesome :D
I have some pretty bad lucks with pets to be fair... Ranging from the random worms we'd get for awards in elementary school (weird, i know right??), those artificially-dyed colorful fish from supermarkets that died pretty quickly, and to the tiny turtle I absolutely adored in 5th grade from a student flea market... I'm just gonna talk about the only pet with fur (aka a rabbit) I've ever got when I was younger because it was the only pet that affected me positively i guess. I got the bunny from an easter event at some random company I didn't really know, and I named it Belle from that princess in the disney movies. I absolutely loved it, and I took care of it 24/7 (fed it and cuddled it till it fell asleep and everything :( ). Though my parents eventually gave it away because it was too much work & effort... But the bunny meant so much (and still does to this day!) to me because it made me feel really happy as a child and I kind of learned how to be responsible and loving to the things I took care of :) Kudos to the bunny.
