❤️ Creating Happiness ❤️
Hello Incredibly, Amazing Community!
Welcome to our Day 17 of the Self-Esteem Challenge. (The masterpost for the event is given here) …….
Happiness can be considered as a highly personal and subjective thing as it can differ according to the individual's experience, expectations, and needs in life. Many of us think of happiness as a feeling that evolves in two cases
1) As a response to opportunities, experiences, and appreciation from outside of ourselves. This mindset can be troublesome when one faces criticism, rejection, or when circumstances are beyond one's control leading to the feeling of helplessness or desperation.
2) When we have expectations (for ourselves or others) to be in a certain way or to obtain certain things. The issue of this mindset may involve disappointment, lack of motivation, or cluelessness when the expectations are not met.
In positive psychology, happiness is defined as a state of mind when an individual experiences satisfaction and contentment in general for a longer period of time. It is natural to experience negative emotions, even if an individual is happy in general, but the happiness mindset can help the individual in considering negative emotion as a tool to fix what is inappropriate by focusing on "what can be done and how can the situation improve". Since happiness is very personal and can differ for everyone, it is important to realize that finding out the right ingredients for what makes us satisfied and content is truly upon us. No one else can have the perfect list of ingredients for us, and happiness is a mindset which needs to be created from within ourselves. So, it is our responsibility to learn what works best for us and create our happiness.
Here are some of the activities which can help us create our own happiness: Appreciating ourselves- self-appreciation doesn't only form the basis of our lives but it is a stepping stone towards a better and loving world; Embracing every hurdle as a challenge - Take every hurdle as a challenge in helping you be the better version of you; Be content with the little things in life- Learn to appreciate the little things in life for they may be the big things in life for you in years to come; Surround yourself with the right kind of energy- The right kind of energy equals a peaceful mind and a heart filled with love; Doing what makes you happy- Follow your heart and above all enjoy yourself to the max!; Learning to prioritize yourself above everything else - Give yourself a chance to shine, heed to your needs, and try to fulfill them; Try new things- It could be a new hobby, sport or even new friends as long as you are happy at the end of the day!
Here are some questions to ponder!
1) What are the reasons for happiness?
2) Can happiness be measured?
3) Should someone elses happiness affect our happiness?
Icebreaker:- Create your own happiness by doing at least 1 thing today which you enjoy and makes you feel happy and tell us what you did. <3

1) What are the reasons for happiness? Life
2) Can happiness be measured? No
3) Should someone elses happiness affect our happiness? I'm not sure. I want to say no but there are lots of factors
@KristinHelps
1) What are the reasons for happiness?
Finding joy in small things, from a cloud shape to how a dragonfly flits around... to feeling success when facing a challenging situation and you were afraid of failing... to feel that little bit of hope.... Lots of reasons for happiness.
2) Can happiness be measured?
I don't believe so. Not specifically anyway - I don't think it's quite possible to compare happiness caused by one thing to another, as those experiences will be very different. There are degrees of happiness, I think... But for me it's enjoying that moment and being grateful for it.
3) Should someone elses happiness affect our happiness?
Depends on how that person's happiness comes to us. If we're relying on someone else to make us happy, that's not necessarily a healthy thing. We need to find our own happiness, but if we can inspire it in others, or find inspiration in others, that's a great thing. It's contageous in a good way. :)
1) Happiness is important because it enables us to feel joy and kindness from other people and within ourselves. Also, happiness can help you feel more confident because you may feel less negative about yourself because you are content with who you are and surround yourself with people who love you too.
2) I think happiness can be measured because it can range from feeling happy to overwhelmed or excited about something.
3) Someone
@KristinHelps
1) What are the reasons for happiness?
Maybe happening of any joyful positive event, feeling motivated or alive, being in a cheerful zone and sometimes even there is no reason for happiness
2) Can happiness be measured?
Sometimes. As in looking at the happy faces around us. The small acts of kindness we all do for eachother.
3) Should someone elses happiness affect our happiness?
Happiness is contagiuous. So yes it mostly afftects. Seeing our family and family happy, we ourselves go into happy zone.
Icebreaker:- Create your own happiness by doing at least 1 thing today which you enjoy and makes you feel happy and tell us what you did.
Talked with my lovely friends
@KristinHelps
1) What are the reasons for happiness?
Does there need to be a reason?
2) Can happiness be measured?
I personally dont think so.
3) Should someone elses happiness affect our happiness?
I think it depends. For me I am happiest when my children and husband are happy.
