I'm 20 (f) moved to a new country about 4 years ago. since then i haven't been able to adapt properly. couldn't make good friends and sort of give up on my future. dropped out of my online uni just 1 year into it. currently working a part time job tht pays less than minimum wage and yeah i dont really wanna talk about work lol.

made some "friends" in senior high school but i never really fit in. found it hard to make newer friends cuz of language barrier and my introvertedness.

lost a lot of things when i moved here like friends, financial stability, proper education, family bond, and even started to question my religious beliefs

i feel incredibly stuck and just wanted to know how i can possibly climb out from my great depression.

@ipoopcats I moved to a state 10 years that has a very high cost of living.  I ended up working so much to afford rent that I never had the time to go out and enjoy life and make connections.  I felt like I was always barely keeping my head above water, it had significant affects on my mental and physical health. Almost a year ago, I made a decision to reach out to family and move back to my home state. I stayed with my sister while I searched for and started a new job, and then got my own apartment,  and have been making friends and building community for myself. My mental health is so much better!!!!

If you have a friend or family to lean on, I recommend reaching out and putting yourself in a place where you can start becoming more financially stable.
