Self love diaries- 1st entry
In this series i would like to share about steps that i have taken whilst embarking on the self love journey after being in a poor place mentally for ages and sharing updates on how it is going and what has been helping me,..
FIRST ENTRY
*Disclaimer, this is only coming from my experience.*
1) Have heard this tip of you caring for yourself how you would for a friend if you switched bodies with them, knowing they would be getting theirs back eventually.
Or in general, even without having to imagine all of that. Checking yourself, how you are talking to yourself. Would you ever say those things to someone you love?,...
2) Being your own parent. Parenting the inner child you have whilst also being its advocate. It is important that you create a safe space within yourself. Acknowledging the voice of that inner child that is scared, that does not want to do something,...and yet utilizing you being an adult that now knows better, knows the value of discipline, knows you will be okay and are safe. And guiding yourself through it all, whilst also engaging in what makes you and your inner child happy. Being grown up should not mean all the joy disappearing from your life just because you have responsibilities now and life getting tougher.
3) You have to care about yourself before you feel like it. That feeling will follow. If you are doing things that actively show to your mind that you do not care about yourself, how can you get that feeling first before taking action?
