Hey there! Today, I've got some fantastic tips to help you overcome social phobia and boost your self-confidence. These tips aren't just for those dealing with social anxiety; they can benefit anyone looking to enhance their communication skills.

Have you ever had those moments when you doubted your abilities, feeling like you couldn't engage in conversations effectively? That's what we often call a lack of self-confidence or motivation, closely tied to social phobia.

Now, here's an intriguing twist – mirrors, the ones we use to check our appearance before heading out or for those important meetings, can be a powerful tool for mental therapy. Take a moment to look at yourself in the mirror. What do you see? When you feel weak or inadequate, it's not someone else making you feel that way; it's you, and your own thoughts.

Here's a simple yet effective exercise: try talking to yourself in the mirror once a day. Share your thoughts, your ideas, or even just a friendly hello. Over time, you'll notice a remarkable improvement in your confidence when communicating with others. This technique worked wonders for my friend, and I'm excited to share it with all of you. Give it a try and let me know how it works for you! 🌟

Social situations can definitely be very daunting. But one thing my teacher said, social skills and public speaking skills are just like any skills you get better at it with practice. Some had the privilege to practice more than others earlier in life, that doesn't mean you're bad at it. It's never too late to step out of the comfort zone and try. 😄

@richuyulin Thanks for the tip dear. That's why I suggested people to practice with the mirror at home to gain confidence in their daily lives.

@AwarmHEART ok I've started trying to say hi and compliment myself in the mirror. I can say hello but that's all so far. A good start though🤗

I often don't recognize myself in the mirror, it's hard to keep looking especially if making eye contact and if I look long enough it feels as if I'm being watched by the "person" in the mirror, is this a sign of a serious problem?

@Terracar35 To answer this question, it may depend on your situation. If you feel that way every time you look in the mirror, I think there is something wrong. However, the more you tried eye contacting with yourself, you will be confident more than before.

It's odd, I disassociate and if I look then, it's as if someone else is staring at me but if I'm "ok" then i just look strange, like my view of myself is so skewed that I can't recognize a reflection as my own. I also have anxiety and depression so that makes it hard to know what the problem is, I have issues with self care and was raised by a bunch of narcissists so I'm sure that plays a factor in how i feel.

@Terracar35Oh, I'm sorry to hear that dear. However, I trust you that you can overcome these challenges. Some traumas never heal but you can turn those into a better one for your lives.
