Is there a way to make a listener account without a phone number? My dad doesn't pay for me to have a phone plan and I want to be a listener but can't be because I don't have a phone number so is there possibly a different way to make a listener account without a phone number because I want to help without the group chats I don't understand why you need a phone number and email to make a listener account

Also no, you don't need to share any phone number(s) for the same, please do not share anything personal or traceable to you, for safety and anonymity reasons.
You can use the same e-mail you used to create your member account for creating a listener account.
@Sunisshiningandsoareyou but I didn't mean that a phone # is required to be able to create the listener account after all the training it asks for a phone number to verify
@Kindwatermelonkiwi1d28 so I'm trying to find a way to not have a phone number to have to verify it but I don't believe there is and I don't think it's really fair to those who can't have phone numbers and all the free phone number apps don't let you verify them

I don't really remember coming across this while creating my account, but I know I've never shared any other contact details here *ever* and remember just the email needed for verification purpose. Is there an option between the phone number and email for verification? Or do they need both of them? :O

Mhm, yes, been here for a while and it really is the first time I'm hearing about the phone number being asked mandatorily to join the listener side. :0 I wouldn't be comfortable with that either.
I hope the admin team members tagged here can assist you better and clarify as necessary, just in case, we missed something here! :)

For the safety of our members, a phone number is now required to increase the quality of our listener community. I am not sure there is a way around it but you could try dropping our helpdesk a question: https://help.7cups.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
