Issue With Chats

I don't know where else this post aka thread would go so I'm placing it here (apologies if it's incorrect)

I need to know if a few other desktop users are having a similar issue, or if this is a normal occurance

I'm a listener, and when I try to chat someone it just places me on chat loading, I've waited up to 10 minutes before. My internet is pretty high speed so I was just wondering if it usually takes awhile or if it's a me thing. As you can guess this makes it a little tough to help others, or get a mentor. ):

I would report it as a technology issue, but I first want to know if it's a general site thing for everyone.
