Riddles!
This topic is about short riddles, because not everyone likes to do the larger logical puzzles. If you do like those, then click here.
If you've guessed the riddle, you can immediately post another one yourself. Let's keep it going.
I will start with this riddle:
What is easy to get into, but hard to get out of?
Is it a doll?
@Gman1246
Yes, it is!
@DarkWolf it was the only thing that made sense to me
What flies without wings?
What turns everything around, but does not move?
@DarkWolf
a mirror
@Dearnis
Correct!
@DarkWolf Would an axis also work as the answer to this one?
@ladylazarus1971
An axis doesn't necessarily turn things around, although there are opposites on both sides of the axis. It could be argued that an axis is correct too, it's a bit more far-fetched than the original answer though.
@DarkWolf I specialize in far-fetched! <3
My voice is tender, my waits is slender and I'm often invited to play. Yet wherever I go I must take my bow, or else I have nothing to say. What am I?
@DarkWolf
A violin?
What part of a body is pronounced as one letter, written with three, but only two different letters are used?
What English word retains the same pronounciation, even after you take away four of its five letters?
Which vehicle is spelled the same forwards and backwards?
With one you can't count past six,
nor can the gap between v and x be fixed.
You can read all of these lines,
but can't say what solves me.
What am I?
I will give a hint. Try to do the following.. count from 1-6 out loud and then say 7. Also say v and x out loud, and then w. Is there a difference you notice between the words? Why can't you make 7 or w with 'one'?
(p.s. I don't know if this will work in any other language than English)
