I also have 3 children so I can relate with how hectic life can be with 3 teens in the house. I'm sorry to hear you and your adopted son are having trouble connecting due to the trauma he experienced in the past. I know it can't be easy when you have so much love to give. What support system do you in place for help in bonding with your son?

Thanks for your reply. Not much support. Many of our friends and family who promised to be there for us tend to shake their heads and walk away when they seem him act up. They act like we’re just bad parents or he’s just a bad kid with no hope. That’s so not true. We’ve made huge gains with him. And he’s been here a little less than a year. He has a therapist. We’ve never met in person. Only video calls because of COVID. Otherwise we’re reading a lot of books about attachment trauma. We’re kind of on our own.
