Recovery

Teasley4031 February 9th, 2017

Hi everyone!

I hope everyone is having a good week so far!

So what is something that is pushing you towards your goal of recovery? Do you have one? If you don't, can you find one?

I believe that everyone deserves to live a life void from their ED. I know this can be hard to believe because of what our ED tells us, but each and everyone of you is worthy of a life worth living. A life where you're healthy. A life where you are not judged on your appearance or your weight. Each and every one of you is special and you all deserve a life free of your ED.

I know the one thing that pushes me to continue to fight for a healthier me, is my little girl. She's my everything, and in order for me to be able to give her the love and care that she needs, I need to be present....and healthy....I don't want her to grow up to be like me....I want her to be better. I want her to love herself.

I want all of you to love yourselves....as hard as that can be....!

@Teasley4031 What a lovely post and thank you for writing this. Everyone is deserving of recovery. It may be a long process, a tough journey and one in which you may question whether its even possible but everyone can get there. Sometimes having one thing, whether its a child, a friend, or a future goal can help you on your way towards that and can be the reminder you need when things may get difficult.

@dancingRainbow45

this is so true. I struggled for 6 years with my ED and have been 'well' for 7 years now. I'm only young still - early 20s but I still have days where I feel on the edge of slipping back into my old routines and habits. It's a struggle but on the days I'm good it's the best feeling in the world.

Hey everyone

this is my favourite forum at the minute everyone's so positive in their outlook and supportive of one another - as the purpose of this service of course. But I just want to say thank you for everyone who has took the time to listen, comfort and support anyone in the forums or the chats. You're awesome.

This is has aided in my recovery as well as given me the opportunity to help others in their own recovery path.
