Managing ADHD and staying in recovery...
I was so proud of myself for staying healthy through my pregnancy (18 months postpartum) and managing my post-pregnancy weight for the first year or so after my kid was born. I was at a healthy weight for my body and stable for so long.
Then I started medication for ADHD because I couldn't put it off any longer, and all of a sudden it got so hard.
My appetite is gone so I have to schedule when to eat and keep bland food around or I won't want to eat it at all.
I burn extra calories a day just by existing (thanks, Fitbit). That seems exponential if I have a physically active day chasing my toddler or even doing 15 minutes of yoga.

I think I've plateued now without any new weight loss for 2 weeks or so, but I'm working extremely hard to maintain. My partner watches my food intake like a hawk because we're both home, and it makes me feel almost resentful toward eating.
It feels unsustainable and my body definitely feels different (in a bad way) at this weight, so I need to gain. I don't want my son growing up watching his mom look sick and tired all the time.
I will talk to my doctor of course, but I really want to find a behavioral solution that allows me to keep treating my ADHD... time has proven that I can't handle my job when my ADHD is uncontrolled, which makes sense because it's a high-stress, high-output job (I have to hit deadlines every day).
Partly I'm just venting, but if anyone else has similar experiences, problems, or solutions to share, I would love to commiserate with you. Thanks for being here, Cups!
