Holiday Love Letter to My Dear ED Warriors
Hello lovelies,
For those who celebrate Christmas, this can be a time of year that brings up a lot of emotions. It's a time that is often associated with family, with food, with traditions, and with time away from school/work. And each of those can be really positive for some people and really overwhelming for others - neither is right or wrong.
I wanted to send a little love note to all of you this holiday season and remind you that whatever you're feeling is okay and no matter what those voices internally or externally might be saying, I am proud of the courage and determination and strength you each show in fighting these eating disorders every day and think you are amazing.
I recognize that holidays can be a time where you need a little extra love and support. So I am here with big hugs for any who want them, a quiet place to sit for those who need a minute away from things, and buckets with extra hope, peace, strength, courage, and love. Take a little extra if you need it to help you through, or if you just want some to share with someone else who needs it.
And if you could use a little extra support, feel free to post below, or if you have anything you want to tell the ED community, I'd love to read your notes here, too!
Much love to all of you,
Anomalia

Thank you also. Words of Affirmation, written or spoken or however, but especially from others (people or sources outside of me) have a very powerful voice in pounding the ED voice in my mind. Especially Words... from a dear one. In this case, YOU! Thank you for speaking truth into my dark places and still letting me whine or complain about stuff when you are probably like, "Umm, Platy? I want to talk with HK now. ED-voice go away, yup now!"
I'm not sure about you, but the ED voice does need a light pounding now and then ((Q: Reference? A: Mrs. Doubtfire - Robin, we miss you!)) Platy
Thank you so much. Honestly, I'm very overwhelmed right now. My " ed voice" is getting louder, if that's a way to put it. I'm fighting, I really try to. Thank you for this very warm and supportive post <3 Sending hugs to anyone who may struggle
@Axistar - I accept your hug(s) with the most properness of gratitude. I offer hugs to you in return (it sounds like perhaps you could use some). ~Platy
Thank you so much, that's such a wonderful letter. Even though I do not really celebrate Christmas with my family, it was still amazing to read.
