What does change mean to you?

Change is hard. Change is scary. Change is uncomfortable. I have always struggled with change. With change comes anxiety and worry for me. But, I have learned from change and changing. I have learned to sit with it. We are so quick to want to revert back to familiar ways during a change or in a process of a change because it feels comforting and it feels normal.

As someone who struggles so much with change, I want to let everyone know that is reading this that it will be okay. If you are going through a change currently or you are wanting to start something new and change a habit or thought process or anything in between that I am there with you. It is 100% scary and you are not alone. But, I promise you if you sit with that uncomfortability, with time it will change. That change will start becoming your remedity and your new familiar. Storms aren't going to last forever and neither will the discomort with a change. If you are scared to change that thing and maybe in a relationship for example and you believe it will never get better, I promise you, it will never get better. If you believe it will be better than take action and attempt at that change. You matter and when things get complicated keep it simple.

Another thought,

To be able to change you have to want it. I love meeting people and I love relating to people. I see myself as someone who has big feelings and I know it makes me better and not worse because it makes me more authentic. I am sensitive and empathetic and sympathetic for people. I love my family and I love my friends and mentors and everyone I come into contact with. I learn something from everyone I meet, big or small, still something. On this note, I believe that everyone goes through bad sh**. Someone in this world has it worse than you. People 100% have it worse than me and there is someone who has it worse than you. And that is okay. I have rude, negative, and ungrateful individuals that have been through a lot and I have met the most amazing, positive, open-minded individuals that have been through hell. As someone who cares deeply about others I have zero sympathy for what you went through if you are that rude, negative person because I believe that everyone has the ability to use their painful and traumatizing experiments to better themself. Everyone. I feel empathetic 100%, but sympathy, it is not there. I have been taken advantage of many times by those negative people and now I have tough love for those who are negative and have been through a lot. You have to want to change to be able to change, and no one can make you change for you. Everyone has the power to use their pain to push them forward and be that positive person. Those are the people I get, those are the people that are extraordinary. Be that person because you deserve that for yourself.

Hi Nick I am a big believer in ppl, things, words, melodies, etc are put in our paths for a reason. Change triggers me and I wish it didn't. Lately my anxiety has been pretty heavy and a new change has made it even heavier. I did not think I would ever download an app to see if anyone could even understand me just a little and here I am. The first thing I see when I started going through this app was your post on change. So I just wanted to say thank you. I'm not 100, but I feel a little better after reading what you wrote. I feel it's just what I needed, and hey, if it helps even just a bit... I'll take it. It's the small stuff that counts. Kindest Regards
