Dispelling the Myths On Bulimia: Myth #2 Is experiencing bulimia unique to females?

.

It is not the case that only women develop eating disorders.
Eating disorders do not discriminate, and the kinds of stresses and worries that might lead to developing an eating disorder aren't unique to one gender.
The stigma surrounding eating disorders, and male sufferers, means that we cannot say in certainty how many men experience them – many men go undiagnosed. However, studies suggest that up to a quarter of bulimia suffers are male.

You can get treatment for an eating disorder, no matter what gender you are or identify as, and full recovery is possible.
