binge eating when I am sad

I hate this, I hate the fact I binge eat all the time. Whenever I feel upset I eat my feelings away, I just want it to stop. I would be having a good day and the smallest thing may hurt me and I will immediately find something to eat to make me feel better. I feel so lazy and stupid. Food is the only thing that's always been there for me when I've been sad, depressed or even suicidal as no one else ever cared to ask how I was. I tried to exercise to loose the weight I've gained from it but I just can't I'm in pain everywhere and I don't even know what to do.

I hate how whenever I'm given food I may not be hungry but I will finish the whole thing without realising or I will not want to waste anything. I grew up being told not to waste any food and now I get scared whenever I don't finish my plate. I don't even know why I just can't.

awareness is a good starting point ...... like first admitting there is a problem

remind yourself each time you want to eat and delay it as long as you can .......challenge yourself to leave something even a spoonful on the plate.....

my partner is in same boat with exercise ... his legs hurt because he is carrying extra weight ... but he stops trying to take up walking because the discomfort ...... take it slow small wins and challenge yourself....

Hello pinkcats8320 I am currently going through the same thing you are going through. Just remember to forgive yourself for binge eating and tell yourself that it is okay if it happens. Things will get better soon. Don’t give up every day is a new day to try and not binge. You got this. We got this.
