Hospital trauma
I've had various forms of medical trauma, not all hospital based. I'd like to hear what has helped others. I feel like I have lost a lot of trust due to the number of problems.
I'm autistic and have a hard time catching on to doctors hinting at me being crazy and stuff but I've realized I've never really had a doctor treat me like a person... anything from "well you ARE young so probably hormones or mental illness" I mean, I've been having seizures and my neurologist backhanded me with "migraines are common in women, I'll do the test anyway but its probably just migraines you got from your mom" the medical trauma has honestly left me broken hearted as I had hoped I'd be better or starting to get better by now, at least have a diagnosis, this is America though right? Why ever would a doctor possibly listen to their patients yknow? /sarcasm
@LilBit0fBr0k3nSunsh1ne so sorry you've gone through this! I have experience in this as well and it is a shame. No one should have to go through this. We are people who know our bodies best and when something is wrong. Our doctors should listen to us no matter what. Hang in there!
Thanks for reaching out seeking others to join! I personally have trauma from medical treatment and it is hard. The treatment is there to help but sometimes it doesn't. If you ever need to talk 1-on-1 any one of our listeners would be happy to help! (https://www.7cups.com/BrowseListeners/)
