Ill do the first question:

Question:

Are there different types of pain?

Answer:
Yes, Doctors classify pain in three different ways.

1. By how long it lasts (Duration)

2. By how it feels (Quality)

3. And by where in your body it starts from or originates (Location)

Once those things are determined there are only really two types of pain it can be identified as.

1. [ Acute pain ] which is; painthatsoccurs for a brief period of time or recent occurrence, usually has a clear source, starts suddenly and goes away quickly. For example: You experience acute pain when you touch a hot surface, stub your toe or cut yourself. Acute pain, we know is there to tell your body there is a problem, an injury, something that needs to be taken care of.

2. [ Chronic pain ] can last months to years. It may come and go or remain constant. Chronic pain is not always useful; the pain message has been sent and received, yet it keeps being sent over and over again. Thus your pain ends up being a chronic condition.

Question:
What is Chronic Pain?

Answer:

In its broadest definition, pain is any unpleasant sensation. Chronic pain is an unpleasant sensation that lasts at least two months; it may go on for years. You consciously experience pain when special pain receptors transmit an electrical message (like an alarm) to the brain. The original cause may have been something as simple as an injury or infection. There may be an ongoing cause of pain, such as arthritis or cancer. But in some cases there is no clear cause. And unlike Acute pain often serves no real purpose.

Question:

What Causes Chronic Pain?

Answer:

There are many causes of chronic pain, although occasionally the underlying cause is not clear. The type of pain you are experiencing is often a clue to its cause; for example, chronic pain that is burning or tingling is often the result of nerve disease (neuropathy). Even when the cause cannot be identified, it is still important to exclude serious or dangerous causes.
