Llanah March 4th, 2016

How do you guys cope with chronic headaches- I'm trying to stay away from medications?

@Llanah What i do is not approching food that give me headaches. For me it's sugar food. I also wanted to not take pharmaceuticals. Well that's it, you should go away from all the things that gave it to you.

Plus I had ophtalmic migrain, so buy some glasses rest(?), so my eyes get less tired and stuff at the end of the day when reading etc...

Also, sleep well.

At the end, the point that comes out, is to take care of your body :) Hope it helps. Take care <3

I have continual migraines. One early trigger I found was *all* artificial sweeteners. Why? Sugar/sweeteners go right to the brain.

Another source may be high fluid content in your body. The brain cannot expand with this fluid because of the hard skull. The push to make us all drink more water has not helped. Might test limiting fluids, trying green tea (it's a dehydrator).

High blood pressure causes migraines. BP should be tested with a machine.

Anxiety? Used to give me a few migraines early on. (Now disabilities have caused unidentified brain problems so I take sumatriptan regularly, which also increases serotonin for depression and calms trigeminal nerve responsible for neck/upper body pain of fibromyalgia).

Relaxation of head through upper body, keeping all sinus and ear canals open, facial and jaw exercises all might help. Wish you the best of luck. I truly feel your pain. Hugs!
