Best way to go about getting off of SSI?

jessica92 December 30th, 2017

I'm on break from school right now and can't wait to go back! I'm going for my second master's degree and I REALLY want to get off disability when I'm done with this degree.

My disabilities are PTSD, OCD, GAD, and SZA (w/ bipolar II). I also have scoliosis and can't stand for long periods of time because of it. I also have a pituitary adenoma, but that doesn't really affect me...

I'm wondering about peoples' experiences about getting off of disability, specifically, SSI. I've been on it since I was a kid! I do work a little bit (part-time, obviously), but I really want to manage a full-time job once I'm done with school. I think I can do it since I can manage full-time school. I actually think it would be better for my disabilities if I were to have a job that I really love because I do BETTER when busy.

I want to do this the best way/easiest way possible. What are your experiences? Thanks for listening. smiley
