Autism and expressing myself

Hi! My name is Jacki, and I often have trouble communicating my thoughts clearly even though I know what I want to say. I feel that many friends interpret what I am saying in the wrong way. Is there anyone on the autism spectrum like myself who can relate? And does anyone have tips on how to communicate clearly and tactfully?

Hi, I don't have any words of wisdom but I do relate. I'm autistic and I really struggle with communication. My partner often doesn't understand what I am trying to express and I struggle with understanding his emotions. So I can fully relate. I have one close friend who shares many of the same interests and is also autistic and I find her easiest to talk to.
I'm sure that any good friends of yours will understand and be patient with you. Anyway, you are not alone in this.

I can relate as this happens to me all the time. Often I find having the person repeat or repeating back to the person helps break down the misunderstandings faster
