Small Self Caring Acts
While many of us are limited in our abilities i thought it would be nice to make a post about little things we can do to care for ourselves that may help us feel a little better or take our minds off pain. Here's some of the small things that brighten my day:
Painting my nails
Making a cup of tea, the ritual of making it just right is so soothing to me knowing it's something for me.
Putting on my favourite hoody and snuggling into it's softness
What ways do you take a moment out of the day to show yourself some care?
Sometimes by listening music
Today I did yoga exercises and breathing exercises and meditation afterwards
Or drawing doodles or mandalas.
Ooh amazing what things do you like to draw? One of my friends is attempting to get me into Yoga so glad to hear it's helping. @Totheskyandbeyond
Cleaning up around the house always leaves me in a goood mood.
Doing push ups till my arms can't take it anymore burns off frustration and anger in a controlled manner.
A quiet cup of coffee by myself gives me time to decide what is next with any given problem.
Picking my dog up for a doggie kiss or two generally cheers me up.
i know i'm late to this thread but i'm so happy to read it, it made me smile :3
i love tea too, it's such a peaceful drink. i also love coloring..i've got some coloring books for adults :)
