Donald K's Monthly Question

DonaldK April 3rd, 2023

I was looking at my growth and I came up with an idea after this post I'm not going to describe it anymore. However, I would like to do a monthly question. Here is the one for April.

 Question:

If you had anywhere, you could go. Where would it be and why?

Rules:

    1. It can't be a one-word answer.
    2. You have to describe it
    3. It doesn't matter what condition you have you can choose anywhere you want to go,

My answer:

My place would be London. Not only does a friend live there but I would like to go to the cathedrals parks and even the pubs. I don't drink but I think it would be fun. I would also like to go to Westminster Abby and I would love to see the outside of the palace. If money wasn't an issue I would go tomorrow. To eat the food. To meet the people and so many other things. I would like to know what the weather is like on a daily basis. I wonder what season it is if it's the same as us. We all have dreams and aspirations. That is why I want to start this discussion. Please don't fix the number one I know it's a glitch meaning of mistake but I think it fits because this is the first one that we are having. Anyway, that's my answer.

I want to go to Heaven. I want to see the streets of gold, I want to see Jesus face to face! I want to fulfill my life’s purpose…

I want to be able to shed my disabled body and live eternally healthy.

I want to be assured that I’ve lived the best possible way

I want to rewarded for for supporting everyone I come in contact with in the best way possible

I know I’m not able to describe Heaven, it’s beyond my imagination!

But, I like the song, I Can Only Imagine by Mercy Me-my disability is quadriplegia-I was born fully able-I became quadriplegic when I was in a coma for 7-8 months from a traumatic brain injury-my muscles atrophied

the song, I Can Only Imagine has lyrics that speak of dancing for Jesus and standing in his glory…

I can only imagine….

Again, I don’t know if I can describe where I want to go…

@AttentiveEar be honest that should've been my answer but I didn't. I am a Christian too. I think the best way to describe it would be the way you did. The song I can only imagine was written after he left his father. I loved your answer I really feel like it is the perfect way describe where are you want to go. Good job. I'm proud of you!❤️ to clarify I'm proud of you because you thought outside the box. I'm not trying to get theological but I really appreciate what you put. Great job!

@DonaldK

If you had anywhere to go where would it be and why?

Definitely Lake Erie. I have wonderful memories as a child on beach no. 9, running with my beagle puppy butchie. We would run up and down the beach, the sand white hot, the sky an impossible blue, and the waves from the lake lapping at our feet. She was such a good dog and a fun companion. Having cookouts, all our family and friends enjoying themselves. It was bliss. Now I go up there and watch the sun rise and set over the lake. It's very humbling to see nature at its finest. I used to love to horseback ride up and down the beach when I was a teenager. So now, I go up and relive those wonderful memories' I'm glad I have them. ❤️

@DonaldK If I could go anywhere, I would choose to visit the Great Wall of China in Beijing. I was born in China, but due to my health condition and the current visitation policies, it's unlikely that I will ever have the opportunity to visit. Additionally, summer in China is too hot for it to be safe for me to be out and about.

@richuyulin interesting what condition would stop you from going outside?

@DonaldK It's not a condition that specifically prevents me from going outdoors. But being anemic does mean I have to be more cautious when I do choose to go outdoors. Extreme summer heat and I don't get along as it drains my energy and increases my risk of fainting.

@richuyulin so I have a question, man. Can I be anemic if I have the same symptoms you just described? In that case, let me modify the question for you. Please don't worry about going outside and going anywhere. What do you do when you need to escape? What world do you create for yourself? For example, Think about Narnia, the land behind the dresser. What world would you make?

@DonaldK

Can I be anemic if I have the same symptoms you just described?

While experiencing the symptoms of anemia may indicate that you have the condition, it is not the only possible cause. The symptoms of anemia, such as fatigue, weakness, and shortness of breath, can also be caused by various other factors, including poor sleep, stress, inadequate nutrition, and certain medical conditions. It is important to consult with a healthcare professional if you have concerns about your health or are experiencing any symptoms to receive a proper diagnosis and treatment.

In that case, let me modify the question for you. Please don't worry about going outside and going anywhere. What do you do when you need to escape? What world do you create for yourself? For example, Think about Narnia, the land behind the dresser. What world would you make?

The wizarding world of Harry Potter, but without the bullies and strict professors. Although I have not had the opportunity to watch the movies, I have read the book series multiple times as a way to escape when I was younger. In the series, there are four houses - Fire (Gryffindor), Earth (Hufflepuff), Air (Ravenclaw), and Water (Slytherin). Which house do you feel you would belong to?

@richuyulin Fire (Gryffindor), Earth (Hufflepuff), Air (Ravenclaw), and Water (Slytherin). Which house do you feel you would belong to? First of all let me answer the first part of your question I have to say first of all I never thought about before the house is being part of the four elements. I have to say my house would be Gryffindor mainly because I like Hermione. But I also like miss Flur.

@DonaldK

It won't let me reply to your latest comment because our reply chain is too long. So here we are. 😃 Linking houses to elements is a well-known abstract concept. Personally, I find my House to change depending on what's going on in my life. Currently, I'm a Slytherin, as I'm ambition drive. I am also knowledge-hungry, and not afraid of difficult challenges.

If you had anywhere, you could go. Where would it be and why?

I would like to go to a fantasy land of mine, one with lots of climbing equipment, slides, swings, lots of trampolines, lots of plush toys. Yeah, just basically a dream of a child’s whos got adhd, like, it’d be great to run around, jumping, spinning, and just having fun.

I know of a few places made just for you, minus the plushies, but you could take some. St. Louis City Museum is one. Just looking at pictures of it makes me smile and imagine.
