New here, hello!
Hello I’m new to this app and this Forum, lately I’ve been feeling really down and didn’t find the strength to talk with anyone at home, I have a therapist but due to the virus and some other issues we haven’t been able to talk, I’m here to find someone to talk to! Some of my favorite things are Brooklyn99, Stray Kids, Taylor Swift, Books (I’m always up for some book recommendations, lately I’ve tried reading some non-fiction or psychology related books so if anyone has some recommendations please tell me!) oh and I also just downloaded animal crossing: pocket camp on my phone (because I don’t have a switch) and it helps me a lot to relax! Thanks for reading all that and hopefully we can talk C:
Welcome, Purple Human! I am here for you.
Hi, @purpleHuman1040! Welcome to 7Cups ^^
It is good have you around with us! I love Brooklyn Nine-Nine, as well as reading books. Currently, I am reading a lot of non-fiction dealing with mental health issues in young adults, so if you are interested I can recommend Normal People by Sally Rooney, Alice Oseman books (e.g. Heartstopper series) or It's Kind of a Funny Story by Ned Vizzini.
I can also recommend Convenience Store Woman by Sayaka Murata (which is one of my favourite picks, beautifully weird and hilarious) and Terror by Dan Simmons (if you like historical books with lots of details, characters and oppresive atmosphere). Also, I would love to hear what did you recently read that you could recommend to me ^^
Hi @purpleHuman1040 ! I know I’m a little late to the party, but I read your post and really wanted to reply. I feel like I’m more or less in the same boat as you. I can’t bring myself to talk to anyone at home/school so I came here. Brooklyn99 and Community are some of my favorite shows, and I’m a pretty big fan of SKZ and Day6 as well! I’m also really fascinated by psychology (I love true crime). I don’t know too much about it but want to learn more. I’m also a bit of an addict when it comes to games like Pokémon and animal crossing (though I haven’t played it in a hot minute). Yikes—I really don’t want to make this too long so I’ll end it here. Feel free to message me anytime! :)
