hello

I'm bl0ndnblu &  I need your ideas and support.

my ex husband was  diagnosed as manic depressive 40 years ago.

He has zero faith or trust in any type of therapy or self disclosure due to its ineffectiveness..in his opinion.

he self medicates with meth.

he says living is pointless.. nothing brings him any joy. nothing ever has either

I check in via phone or messenger.. all he wants to do us sleep and not wake up.

what can I do??

Hello. The problem is the first person who should want to help your ex is himself. If he doesn't want to help himself in the first place, all your efforts are doomed to be wasted.

If he is trying to self-medicate with some dangerous neuroactive substances it might add the chemical addiction to the basket, what can make everything even harder.

I think the best thing for you in this situation might be protecting yourself from becoming co-dependent, feeling too much responsible or guilty about him. It's your ex's life, not yours, and as long as he is self-sabotaging, I believe for you that can be only a losing game...
