Hopefully a step in a better direction
Hi all. I'm Nyx. Im 26, and I'm starting to take the first steps towards self kindness. This really has been one of the most difficult things I've done, I have held such deeply conditioned self hatred for as long as I've known. Enough to warrant a suicide attempt. But for the first time in my life I'm on anti depressants, I'm trying counseling, I feel like I can hate myself a little less. I used to think I was untreatable and so messed up in the head. Like I was not worth saving. A friend told me about this and I just love everything about it. I know pretty heavy for an intro. Stay well friends

it is ironic how hating and criticizing ourselves comes easier than being kind and loving towards ourselves ~ I assure you, youre not alone certainly! It is so very commendable that despite all hardships, you're being open to the idea of self kindness , self love and feeling hopeful for a little change ~ that's so brave of you really!

I can't thank you enough for your kindness and warm words. It's a position we are all in together, trying to take it a day at a time. Good healing takes good time. I'm starting to become more comfortable with my insecurities and my self. But it's so easy to fall back into those familiar habits. Progress is never linear, and we all do what we can.
