Hey to whoever, my names Clarissa. I’ve been working with depression since maybe 12years old. Now I’m 26, and married to a great guy. He’s also dealt with the same, but I’d say worse and definitely for a longer period of time. So while he handles it very well, when I’m not able to pull myself up (or maybe too stubborn to), it pulls him down too. Currently just feeling quite a bit of guilt, on top of wishing that I didn’t have to do all that life requires of me.

I dont feel that the negative thoughts necessarily stem from any one thing in my life, I feel I’ve been blessed with an easy life in comparison to many.

i want to be productive and proactive in working up my positive thought “muscles”, to work towards positive thinking being the inherent reaction rather than negative thinking. Anyone else doing the same??

Hey Clarissa, I totally get what you are saying. Even though we might not have one particular thing in our lives that bring those negative thoughts...they still happen. But I think that what you said about building up your positive thought "muscles" is a great step in the right direction. Keep being the best you can be...you are enough
