How do I deal with a rumour? The person spreading it is running away and all my friends are defending him, calling me delusional. I'm frustrated. Help?

Maybe provide some evidence that proves the rumor isn't true especially to those directly involved or impacted.

Hey, thanks for replying. I tried my best to collect evidence but I don't have any. 2 years ago I asked him about the rumor and he said he didn't know who started it. I don't have the chats anymore 😔
